Technical Overview

The Invesco DB Agriculture Fund has spent most of the past six months tracing out a broad base pattern between $25.27 and $27.10, and the commodity cycle is signaling that patience is beginning to pay. After bottoming near the 52-week low in late December and grinding through a grinding accumulation phase in January and February, DBA launched decisively higher over the past two weeks, breaking above a cluster of moving averages that had capped gains since the autumn correction. The fund closed Tuesday at $26.62, up 0.64% on the day, and sits comfortably above both its 20-day and 50-day simple moving averages — a configuration the chart had not sustained since the summer highs near $28.
